Q. I have been selected for the grand final, what happens next?

A. Firstly – Congratulations!! Getting through to the grand final is a huge achievement. The next step is to confirm your place in the competition; this is done by paying the sponsorship fee!

Q. Why is there a sponsorship fee?

A. The sponsorship fee basically covers the cost of your place in the competition. As you can imagine, organising an event like this incurs many costs – including the venue, staging, staff, prizes and more. It would not be possible to hold such an event without a fee like this in place. In the UK, there are pageants with sponsorship fees which are over £600 and so, we have kept this as low as possible for you.

Q. I have never done anything like this before, do I need experience?

A. No – not at all. We will guide you through the whole experience and make it as fun as possible. You get a lot of guidance to make sure you know exactly what to do on the night. Most of the finalists are completely new to the world of pageants, so you have no reason to worry!

Q. What will I get from competing in this pageant?

A. The grand final will be a lot of fun and the memories last a lifetime, you will find your confidence has increased so much. You can use the competition as a way to start in the modelling, social media & influencer industry or use your love of fundraising for the charities and continue to do this after the competition or apply for national UK pageants. The variety of experiences that you can get from the competition is amazing!

Q. What happens at the grand final?

A. Competing in the competition is such an amazing opportunity! Not only will you compete in the sparkling grand final, you will spend all day with the other girls learning how to walk on stage! It is a very girlie day that really does fly by…. Everyone is always so shocked how fast it goes and want to do it all over again!

Q. What is required from me in the lead up to the final?

A. The great news is that by being a finalist in the pageant, you do not have to commit to anything other than attending the grand final! We say that it is completely your choice with how you prepare for the competition. Once you have your sponsorship fee covered, you have the option to make appearances in your local community and you can also be raising money for charity. Appearances are wearing your sash at any public event such as local charity events, attending the opening of a new local shop, visiting a local school etc. We raise money for Zoes Place and we encourage all finalists to help us with fundraising which is why it is part of your score!

Q. Who are the judges?

A. The judges are kept a secret until the grand final itself! They are all linked to the industry and know exactly what to do but do not worry – they are not scary! They will make this experience one to remember and make you feel at ease.

Q. Is there a certain look that I need to have for the competition?

A. Absolutely not! The judges are not briefed on any particular look – the competition is about being yourself and being natural!

Q. What are the prizes?

A. The prizes will be announced closer to event but our crowned coal queen will receive their winning sash and crown. There will be certificates for side awards as well.
